Percentage to fraction list (for aptitude)

Asked by Tanvi Kulkarni 1 month ago 3 answers 15 votes

Sharing what I memorised for aptitude, saves a lot of time:

12.5% = 1/8
16.66% = 1/6
37.5% = 3/8
62.5% = 5/8
87.5% = 7/8
11.11% = 1/9
9.09% = 1/11

37.5% of 640 = 3/8 × 640 = 240. Way faster than multiplying.

also successive change: a% then b% = a + b + ab/100
+20 then -20 = -4%, not 0. they always put 0 as an option
