Privacy & Data Retention

This page sets out what JBattle collects, why it is collected, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted. It covers both the multiplayer quiz product and the AI mock interview and placement-campaign features.

What we collect

• Account — your name, email address, profile picture and Google account identifier, received when you sign in with Google.
• Quiz activity — scores, ratings, streaks, daily-challenge results and anything you post in the community forum.
• Interview records — the text transcript of the interview, any code you submit, the AI-generated feedback and delivery metrics (speaking rate, talk ratio, filler rate).
• Material you supply — resume text and custom questions, when you paste or upload them.
• Campaign records — for an organisation drive, the candidate email addresses invited and the status of each invitation.

Voice audio

Interview audio streams directly from your browser to the AI provider that runs the conversation. It does not pass through, and is not recorded by, JBattle's servers. What JBattle stores is the text transcript of the session.

Who can see it

You can always see your own interviews. When you take an interview from an organisation's campaign invitation, members of that organisation can see your report for that interview — that is the purpose of the invitation. No other organisation can see it.

Sub-processors

• Google — sign-in, the AI interviewer and code review, and Google Analytics.
• Groq — AI question generation and evaluation.
• Supabase / PostgreSQL hosting — durable storage of the records above.
• A transactional email provider — delivery of campaign invitations.

Analytics

JBattle uses Google Analytics for aggregate traffic measurement. Query strings are stripped from the URLs reported to Analytics, so identifiers in a link are never sent. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled.

Retention

Interview transcripts, reports, invitations and interview links are deleted 24 months after they are created. Account and quiz records are kept while the account exists.

Deleting your data

Write to jbattlearena@gmail.com from your account's email address and we will delete your account and interview records within 30 days. An organisation can ask for a campaign and its reports to be deleted the same way.
